Transport methods and prices

The goods ordered on the site www.giemmespoleto.com are not delivered directly by Giemme S.r.l. to the recipient. On the contrary, Giemme S.r.l. entrusts the shipment to the major national and international express couriers (TNT, UPS, DHL, BRT, SDA, DPD, etc.). All shipments of our products are traceable. Normally and except for stock shortages, deliveries take place in Italy within 24h (within 48h the goods destined to the islands or to so-called remote locations) while within 72/96h abroad. Due to the fact that Giemme S.r.l. can not guarantee the work of third-party companies (couriers), the delivery times of the goods indicated on the site giemmespoleto.com are merely indicative and can not in any way be grounds for termination of the contract of sale by the recipient.

The shipping cost within Italy is fixed at €9.40. For orders over €70.00, shipping is FREE.

The shipping cost to France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, and Hungary is set at €14 plus VAT (which varies depending on the destination country). For orders over €120.00, shipping is FREE.

The shipping cost to Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria is set at €15.70 plus VAT (which varies depending on the destination country). For orders over €120.00, shipping is FREE.

The shipping cost to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ireland, Finland, and Sweden is set at €20.50 plus VAT (which varies depending on the destination country). For orders over €120.00, the shipping cost is €15 plus VAT.

The shipping cost to Portugal, Denmark, Greece, Romania, and Slovakia is set at €16.00 plus VAT (which varies depending on the destination country). For orders over €120.00, shipping is FREE.

Shipping costs to Switzerland and the United Kingdom are €30. For orders over €120.00, the shipping cost is €25.

Shipping costs to Corsica are €35. For orders over €120.00, the shipping cost is €30.
Shipping costs to the Balearic Islands are €30.00 for orders under €120 and €27.00 for orders over €120.
Shipping costs to the Canary Islands are €111.56. For orders over €120.00, the shipping cost is €96.80.

For some specific locations, the courier requires an additional surcharge. The locations subject to this surcharge are:
• Ilhas do Arquipélago dos Açores
• Ilha de Madeira
• The minor islands of mainland France
• Remote locations (e.g., mountain areas or hard-to-reach areas). The delivery cost for remote locations is €30 for orders under €120 and €25 for orders over €120.

The surcharge will be requested from the customer by Giemme before the shipment of the goods. The customer may choose not to accept the surcharge; in this case, the order will not be considered valid and will be immediately canceled.

Prices and methods of payment

The price of the products will be the one indicated from time to time on the site, except where there is an obvious error. In the event of an error, Giemme S.r.l. will notify the buyer as soon as possible by allowing the order confirmation to the right amount or to the cancellation. However, there will be no obligation for Giemme S.r.l. to supply the goods at the lower price incorrectly indicated.
The website prices include VAT, do not include shipping costs and may change at any time. The changes do not concern orders for which written confirmation has already been sent.
Once the products have been selected they will be added to the cart. Simply follow the instructions for the purchase, entering or verifying the information requested in each step of the process. The order details can be changed before payment.

Delivery of the ordered products

Choice of place of delivery

The ordered goods are delivered to the shipping address specified by the customer on the order form. The delivery of the ordered goods is understood to be on roadside, therefore neither forwarding to the floors nor delivery within private roads or restricted access is foreseen. If the place of delivery presents difficulties of access, they must be imperatively specified at the time of order so that it is possible to inform the courier. In this case he may refuse or request additional costs for delivery. The time of delivery of goods varies from area to area, but is still identified within the time frame ranging from 09.30 to 18.30 of all working days (on Saturday, Sunday and during bank holidays the courier does not deliver).

Since the courier is not required to contact the recipient by telephone to arrange delivery, it is advisable to indicate a place of delivery where someone is always present to collect the goods. In the event that no one is at home all day, when ordering it is advisable to indicate another place (your place of work, the business of an acquaintance, the house of relatives or friends...), to prevent the carrier from having difficulty while delivering. In the event that the carrier can not deliver due to absence, a paper notice can be placed (although it is not mandatory!) in the recipient's mailbox. In this case, the recipient must contact the carrier (using the telephone number on the notice) to arrange the new delivery.

The customer, when ordering, is required to write the destination address clearly, accurately and without the possibility of error or misunderstanding and to report in the order notes the name that the courier will find on the bell. In the event that the address is incorrectly filled and the courier can not deliver for "unknown recipient" or "indicated non-existent/incomplete address", the parcel will be placed in storage with an increase in costs at the sole expense of the recipient.

How the delivery takes place

The goods travel with packaging made directly by Giemme, in cardboard boxes wrapped in stretch cellophane with logo and corporate colours sealed with adhesive tape (also with company logo and colours). In no case is the courier adhesive tape or other closing materials used. On the contrary, the presence of the neutral adhesive tape or of the courier means that the parcel has been tampered with during the journey.

Possible problems at the receiving of the goods

At the moment of delivery of the goods by the courier, the recipient is required to check:

  • that the packaging is intact, not damaged or wet or, in any case, not altered
  • that no closing materials other than those mentioned above have been used
  • that the number of packages delivered corresponds to the number indicated on the invoice that Giemme sends to the customer by email at the time of departure of the goods

Any external damage or non-correspondence of the number of packages must be immediately notified to the courier making the delivery, with the words "Withdrawal with reserve for damaged package", "Withdrawal with reserve for open package" or "Withdrawal with reserve for packages missing "on the appropriate accompanying document. Once the delivery document has been signed without the aforementioned annotations, the customer can not make any objection about the appearance of the goods delivered. For each declaration, the customer assumes full responsibility for what has been declared.
It is also requested to report on website www.giemmespoleto.com no later than 8 calendar days from receipt of the goods. Any notification beyond the aforesaid terms will not be taken into consideration.
