Giemme Spoleto designs, manufactures and sells pizza peels, rotisseries, trays, oven thermometers and other tools for fireplaces and barbecues.

GM (this was the old name of our company) was founded back in 1967 as a rotisserie factory, born from the idea and ingenuity of Mauro Galanti – a man with a very active and lively mind, full of inventiveness and creativity.
In the summer of 1965, in the courtyard of an old country farmhouse, he came across the remains of a very old manual rotisserie (apparently dating back to the 1800s). His love for craftsmanship and DIY inspired him to bring that old object back to life. Before long, however, constant use of the device became a bit inconvenient due to the manual winding system.

He decided to use that model as inspiration to build a new rotisserie, to which he attached the still-functioning motor from an old, broken record player.
From then on, the steady flow of neighbours asking to borrow that "new appliance" made him realise that building more of them could open the door to a new market. That’s when he decided to open a small workshop in the basement of his home.

The new generation
In January 1998, at just 23 years old, Alessandro Lupi (son of one of Mauro Galanti’s cousins) took over the business from “Uncle Mauro” with the moral (and above all, financial!) support of his parents. GM by Galanti Mauro thus became Giemme by Alessandro Lupi, and the workshop was moved to larger premises, where it remained until the winter of 2004.
In spring 2005, with the need to further expand production, the company relocated again: a new facility was purchased about 10 km from the previous one.
In 2013, the sole proprietorship Giemme by Alessandro Lupi became Giemme S.r.l.
Looking to the future
In November 2017, Giemme S.r.l. acquired an additional production unit in the main industrial area of the city of Spoleto, and the entire company moved to this new site in the spring of 2018.
Today Giemme S.r.l. (known to all as “Giemme Spoleto”) operates in a covered production area of around 1,600 m² and is equipped with a fleet of state-of-the-art, technologically advanced machinery.
Giemme Spoleto is now a leader in the design, distribution and sale of rotisseries, pizza peels and products for fireplaces, ovens and barbecues, manufacturing on an industrial scale while ensuring the quality that only an artisanal company can provide.
Giemme Spoleto products are now available through all major Ho.Re.Ca. distributors, as well as online and on the leading e-commerce platforms.
More than 50 years have passed, yet the company’s team continues to work every day to design and produce new, high-performance products, with the aim of fully meeting customer expectations.
