GIEMME was founded in 1967 when my uncle Mauro Galanti, a gourmet came across an old hand-wound roasting-jack (presumably dating back to the late 1800s) in a farmhouse barn.
His love of manual skills and D.I.Y. drove him to renovate this precious object, to be admired once more.
But very soon, the continuous use of this appliance was revealed to be a little inconvenient because it was hand-wound.
After a while he decided to modernize it, and add a motor, which he obtained from an old record player.
Then all his neighbours wanted to borrow this "new domestic appliance" so he decided it would be a good idea to make more, and then put them on sale...
Today I'm (the owner since 1998) continuing together with my staff what my uncle started.
We produce the appliances on an industrial level now, but with the quality that only an artisan company is able to offer.
The GIEMME is the example of how a small firm, founded many years ago, is able to collaborate with both Italian and European importers, distributors. and retailers.
